Results of 5" orbital sander with 60 grit. Small islands of gelcoat still remain and must be worked down until no larger than 3mm ... It's still winter in New Zealand, what better time to polish and wax the the initial block sanding to recreate smooth profile. After first block sanding, high and low spots are apparent. Low spots filled with poly putty and blended back to profiled surface.
